Bubble Chamber Lense Ring remover
The secret of this tool is that the
threaded rods have the same pitch thread as the bubble chamber
rings so they retract with the ring, never too loose or too tight.
They also hold the ring at right angles to the chamber threads
as it is being screwed or unscrewed. Only one tool is attached
to its threaded rod, that is the one that is going to remove a
ring. The other tool is free to rotate on the threaded rod and
serves to hold the "working" tool engaged with its slots.
I have used this tool several times,
so far with success. I even managed to re seat a cross threaded
ring and remove it without too much difficulty.
